Betty Hula

I've been wanting to try Betty Hula for ages, a skin care line out of the UK.
Betty Hula's mission is to develop soothing, luxurious, affordable products that leave your skin feeling nourished, revitalized and silky smooth. They use only the finest natural ingredients, combined with delectable and innocent skin-nurturing products with fragrant and exotic scents of the tropics. The result is a collection of the finest skincare products that are handmade with care, just for their customers

Each Betty Hula product is packed full of wonderfully rich and indulgent anti-oxidant ingredients, all of which help to heal, hydrate and soothe tired, neglected skin. Ingredients like rich shea and cocoa butter, soothe skin with natures finest aloe vera and hydrate it with avocado and apricot kernel oil. Betty Hula is the perfect skincare collection for anyone whose skin could do with pampering. Their products also help dry, cracked skin, stretch marks, eczema and are extremely kind and gentle.

Believe it or not, despite my skincare obsession, I have a really hard time finding products that work for my skin. I might find a great face cream, but not an eye cream-you know what I mean. I'm always searching for something or another. So, the skin on my bod is a mess. I've had excema for my entire life. Some moisturizers make me itchy, and others, my skin just laughs at. When I was little, my parents would put socks on my hands at night to keep me from scratching. I'm painting a really pretty picture, right? It gets worse when I'm stressed, so yup-it looks pretty bad right now.

Betty Hula sent me their Secret Wonder Oil, which is a versatile and great smelling award winning moisturizing oil. It's amazing for any dry or problem area of skin including wrinkles around the eyes. It is good for relieving signs of stretch marks, scaring, dry/sensitive and aging skin, combination skin, oily skin and for soothing sun burn. I've been using the Secret Wonder Oil on my arms and legs at night. It smells soooo good, and unlike some oils, it doesn't make me itch. I'm still a bit dry, but I'm a work in progress! She also sent me samples of the Rum and Black Current amd Champagne and Spice Body Creams. They're great after a pedicure, and their smell is pretty amazing.

I will absolutely continue to use Betty Hula products. She makes a Wonder Oil purse sized roller ball with my name on it! You can read more about Betty Hula, and purchase products or by clicking on the Betty Hula links in this post. Good stuff!

Egyptian Cotton Sleep Shirt

I've had such a pleasure working with Egyptian Cotton Shirts. They sent me a beautiful All Cotton Sleep Shirt to review. Instead of my usual pink, I chose a periwinkle color.

Egyptian Cotton is known to be very sturdy, high quality, and soft. I'm extremely picky about sleep clothes, and this was perfect.
There were approximately 30 colors to choose from. I would recommend sizing up one size, but perhaps I just don't like anything even a bit form fitting. It has a nice, thick, soft finish, with the hems being very well stitched.

I've washed my sleep shirt on cold, and laid it flat to dry. It's also very comfortable with sleep shorts underneath. It is so comfy and soft!

They also have tee shirts and men's tees. I highly recommend them. The prices are fantastic, and they have great customer service. These shirts are extremely high quality-you can't go wrong!

Splash Dye Activewear Review

Cosmic Purple Cropped Pants

I admit that since I've become a stay at home Mom, I'm loving wearing leggings, yoga pants and jeans during the day. For so many years I put on work clothes, and was uncomfortable for several hours until I could go home and change. I'm in no way sloppy, but I'm comfortable, and I've found that I'm more creative, more free, and definitely happier. So many cute combos to wear!

I came across Splash Dye Activewear on Etsy, a clothing store founded by lead designer, Terri Sher. Terri has an extensive background in the art industry, and a profound love for yoga, which she practices as often as possible near her home in Sacramento, California.

Bringing her experience, talent & love of yoga together into a line of artistic yoga clothing was the perfect expression of her own vision of “wearable art."

Terri uses white, blank clothing mainly made of cotton, but with a small amount of spandex (making it stretchy enough for yoga & activewear) is sourced from USA based manufacturers that are reputable & sweat shop free.

After experimenting with a variety of tie dye techniques, Terri developed her own style that fitted with her wearable art vision. The name Splash Dye seemed to encapsulate the style better than the traditional tie dye description that seemed to hearken back to an earlier era of hippies and flower power.

Splash Dye is vibrant and modern, creating color co-ordinated activewear & yoga outfits that will work around the town as well as in the gym or the yoga studio.

They will likely be one of the most comfortable pair of yoga pants or leggings you will ever own. Truth.

Terri was lovely, and sent me a pair of her Cosmic Purple Cropped Pants. They are so cute, and I feel that I must apologize to all my students so many years ago for the sorry excuse of tie dye shirts we made in my art class! Now that you're "grown ups," I recommend that you buy a pair from Terri!

I wasn't sure if I should buy leggings, yoga pants, what length, or color combo. All I knew was Splash Dye Activewear spoke to me. Terri helped me pick out the Cosmic Purple (her most popular design), and directed me towards the cropped pants. They're so comfy, and are great for yoga, walking, etc., while not being too "I didn't change my clothes before I ran errands." Plus, as you can see, they are super cute! I love that Terri's picture shows them being worn, and how they move. They are just as beautiful in person, and in the craze of cute, patterned leggings-these should be right up there, getting lots of love.

I've linked to Splash Dye Activewear  several times in this post, but you can also find Terri at

Thank you so much to Terri who sent me a pair of cropped pants for review. All thoughts on her product are 100% mine. I will absolutely be back to buy additional color combos from Terri, because they are amazing, and I hope my friends and readers do as well.

Absolutely fantastic leggings!

Harding-Lane Review (AKA The Perfect Hat)

I came across Harding-Lane's adorable hats on Instagram. I love baseball hats. Not the gross ones that your college boyfriend wore all the time. I'm talking about really nice, colorful, cute, preppy baseball hats. Harding-Lane has so many designs that I had a hard time choosing one. I thought this preppy little crab would be perfect for summer. It has become my go-to hat lately. I'm growing out my hair for about the millionth time, and I'm proud to say, I'm making it through the awkward stage, even in the summer. So, I'm usually in my Harding-Lane hat when I take the boys to swimming lessons! I also am impressed at how well it fits. It's definitely superior to the others on my shelf.

How cute are my hat and sunglasses? It looks like I'm going on an adventure. My adventure this summer is chauffeur for the kids!

Harding-Lane was founded by brother/sister Steve and Sarah, who grew up in Massachusetts. They dreamed about not only working together but also working for themselves. In the spring of 2009, they came up with an idea: Steve was perpetually in search for the perfect fitting baseball cap (something he could never seem to find) and one that didn't have brand names or team logos on it. Sarah had grown up needlepointing belts and pillows for family and friends. Together, they decided to put needlepoint stitching on baseball hats, and to give profits back to environmental organizations.

It was also important to Steve and Sarah that they find a manufacturer that could not only meet their high standards creatively, but also environmentally and socially. Harding-Lane's manufacturer is Fair Labor, Worker's Rights and Social Accountability certified, and is known for meeting the goals of eco-friendly brands from around the world. They give a percentage of their annual profits back to The Trustees of Reservations, a Massachusetts based organization committed to protecting nearly 27,000 acres of land in the state. The mission of Harding-Lane is to create unique products that look great and give back. Pretty impressive, yes?

If you're looking for a unique hat for yourself, or as a gift, Harding-Lane is definitely worth checking out. They have so many different designs, from fish, golf, mermaids, dogs, flags, you name it! Harding-Lane also makes key fobs, belts and tee shirts.

You can find Harding-Lane by clicking on any of the links here (don't worry, they aren't affiliate links), their website is or on Instagram @hardinglane. They're also on Facebook and Pinterest. Definitely check them out-their things are amazing.
