Lemongrass Spa Review and Giveaway

Congratulations to Kimberly Abel! You won the pedi kit from Lemongrass Spa!

As someone who is product obsessed, I've been so lucky to try some really fun skin care from a variety of companies. I love to hear about their different philosophies, and how they got started.

I recently became acquainted with Rene'e Pontorno, who is a spa consultant for Lemongrass Spa. Lemongrass Spa is a "lime-green" company based out of Colorado. Their products are all gluten-free and cruelty-free, handmade and natural. Their fragrances are phthalate-free, colorants are from natural sources and their essential oils are organically grown from farms around the world. They use only the highest-grade ingredients, and they test on people, not animals. Even their packaging can be recycled or reused.

Lemongrass Spa is a great option for someone looking for a new product line, as they carry a wide variety of items from skin care, cosmetics, body care and hair care. Everything is also extremely affordable.

Rene'e was very generous, and she sent me some products to try, and for a giveaway! She is a new consultant for Lemongrass Spa, and is enjoying her new career!

I have dry, sensitive skin, so Rene'e sent me Lemongrass Spa's Travel Face Care Kit #2 for Dry/Sensitive Skin. The kit includes the Gentle Cleansing Gel, Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap, Hydrating Eye Cre'me with Cucumber Extract and Rose Hip Oil, Gentle Face Cre'me and Pomegranate Facial Polish.

I did find that I preferred the Gentle Cleansing Gel over the Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap. The soap, though, has been great to have in the shower. I find that it's gentle enough for my body and not over drying. The cleansing gel left my face feeling clean, but not tight. It contains coconut oil, avocado fruit oil, lavender and jasmine essential oils. I followed the cleanser with the Pomegranate Facial Polish, which was creamy and not overly harsh. The Gentle Face Cre'me feels great on my face. It's creamy and scent free. I actually have been keeping this in my bag, as I like to moisturize during the day. Finally, I used the Hydrating Eye Cre'me. The eye cream feels lovely. It's a blend of cucumber extract, rose hip oil, shea butter, jojoba and olive oil. The skin around my eyes tends to get quite dry year round because of allergies. This eye cream is rich, and it leaves my eye area feeling soft and refreshed. This is a great little travel kit that sells for just $12! If you want to try the skin care before committing to full size products, this is a terrific kit to start with!

Rene'e also sent me a mini Foot Fetish Kit, AND one to giveaway! This mini pedi set starts with a Herbal Foot Soak, which is Epsom salt enhanced with peppermint, spearmint, and tea tree oils. You soak with this mixture and warm water for about 15-20 minutes, and it feels AMAZING! Next, you use the Walnut Foot Scrub, which exfoliates with sea salt enhanced with citrus zest and ground walnut hulls. Finally, your feet are ready for the moisturizing Peppermint Foot Balm, which is packed with olive oil, peppermint and vitamin E. This kit is so pampering, and has been great to keep my summer feet looking and feeling great!

You can shop with Rene'e online at www.ourlemongrassspa.com/reneepontorno, or if you have questions, you can email her at reneepontorno@gmail.com.

Rene'e has given me a Foot Fetish Kit to give to one of my readers! I'll add in toe separators and a fun polish!

  3. Having it drilled into my brain from Aveda training I only use natural products for skin care, and I look younger than half my friends. I know that sounds vain, but I try to tell people - organic, natural and sustainable ingredients - you will look younger.
