SiliGuy IPhone Holder Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review and promote an iPhone holder for Tomoson and Innovative Design 101. The super cool gadget is called SiliGuy.

At first, I was just excited that I was being sent SiliGuy because it is so cute. Obviously that is super important when you're looking for a phone holder, that is also a hands free carmount. When I received SiliGuy, I was happy to see that it was so bendable. I had seen pictures of SiliGuy hugging iPhones, so that they could be hung anywhere for easy access, for convenience while changing, and as a hands free device in the car.

I tend to use SiliGuy to keep my phone handy while I'm charging it, and I use the hanger to attach SiliGuy and my phone to my bag handle to keep it from getting lost in the depths of my bag.

Personally, I find SiliGuy phone holder to be cute and super functional. If you're on my gift list, don't be surprised if you get one from me! I'm thinking maybe I should give it a name!

If you'd like more information on the company or design, you can find SiliGuy at http://innovativedesign101.comu

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Review and Giveaway

I recently became acquainted with Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques, and I had the opportunity to try several of their products.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques' mission is to provide women with truly natural and healthy beauty products and to empower women to embrace and celebrate their unique beauty. They have developed a healthy, natural and organic makeup line to not only enhance women's natural beauty, but nourish their skin at the same time. The older I get, the more I'm finding that I look for products with as many natural ingredients as possible. This line definitely meets that requirement.

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques graciously sent me a combination of full and sample sized products to try. Most of the pictures in this review are of full size products, if pictures were available. I love trying new lines, but color cosmetics in particular are so much fun!

I was sent a sample size of the Organic Facial Serum. The serum contains cold-pressed Certified Organic Plant oils, which is a process that preserves the potentcy of the ingredients. This skin-tightening serum combines Organic Jojoba, Evening Primrose, Rosehip and Pomegranate oils, all known for their absorbent, emollient-rich, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. Plus, Pumpkin Seed and Sea Buckthorn oils are added with their high Vitamins C, E and A content. Minerals and Essential Fatty Acids are added to deeply nourish and restore elasticity. The sample was pretty small, but only a small amount is needed. I found that the serum absorbed quickly, and didn't leave my face feeling oily or sticky. It actually left me with a healthy glow, and my face soft and moisturized. This is definitely an amazing product. I will purchase the full size product, and I'll be anxious to see the long term benefits of this serum. I'm impressed with this one!

Like many women, I'm forever looking for the perfect eye cream. My first lines showed up under them, and I've been on the search ever since. I have found several that I really really like, but of course, I asked Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques if I could try their Eye Firming Cream. I like that it's in a stick form, because I can throw it in my bag. Since there are no pores in that area, and because the skin is thinner, we need to use something other than our regular facial moisturizer on our eyes. Their Eye Firming Cream is an age-defying cream for healthy, beautiful looking skin. It is packed with great ingredients like Comfrey, Lecithin, Pumpkin oil, Eyebright, Carrot Seed oil, Burdock, Frankincense, Plantain and Argan oil. Don't let the stick form fool you into thinking that the Eye Firming Cream might be waxy or leave the eye area oily. It absorbs easily, but leaves the eye area soft and bright.

I had heard really great things about Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques' Cream Foundation, and I was anxious to try it on my fair, sensitive skin. I was a little nervous picking a color based on a swatch on the computer screen, but I chose Cool No. 10, and I have to say it's a perfect match. The Cream Foundation is lightweight, all-natural, it glides easily onto the skin, and it has incredible coverage and staying power. It has an SPF of 28, which I love, because I burn in about 3 minutes. The Sun protection comes from Zinc Oxide, and the foundation also contains Certified Organic Argan Oil and Extracts of Green Tea, Passionflower, and Raspberry. I have not found that it dries my skin out at all, but I also don't need a powder to keep from getting shiny. The Cream Foundation also feels like you're wearing nothing at all, but it looks flawless.

I really like wearing cream eyeshadows, but it seems like they get dry and crack easily in the compact, or that they crease easily. Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques sent me one full size cream shadow, and a sample of another color. Cream shadows are pretty quick and easy to apply, and these were terrific. They also smell like vanilla, which was enough to make me want them in every color! They can be worn alone, or under other shadows as a base. These shadows are good for your skin, too! They contain Shea Butter, Rosehip, Vitamin E Oil and Jojoba Oil. The two colors that I requested were Dulce de Leche and Cocoa Latte. They look amazing together, and applied really quickly. I will absolutely be purchasing the Cocoa Latte when my sample is gone (and maybe a few other colors, too).

I was also sent a Pressed Eyeshadow Compact duo of Chestnut and Vanilla Creme. The Dulce de Leche cream shadow makes a terrific base for these shadows! Lauren Brooke's powder shadows are richly pigmented, go on smoothly, blend easily and and are very long wearing. The powder shadows contain great stuff for your skin, including Zinc, Broccoli Seed, Orange Peel Wax, Lechithin, Jojoba and Allantoin. I love it that Lauren Brooke's color cosmetics are packed with great ingredients that many companies save for their skincare.

I was also sent a sample of the Lauren Brooke Lash Conditioner, which is made with a blend of Vitamins, Herbs and Extracts to feed and protect your lashes. Again, I was impressed when I read about the great ingredients in the product. The Lash Conditioner contains a Vitamin B Complex, Chia Seed, Horsetail and Burdock. Since I was sent a sample, it felt a little odd to apply this product with a cotton swab, but I could feel the hydration right away. This is a product that I will be purchasing, as I'm anxious to see the long term effects!

If I'm looking for the best eye cream on the market, I should probably add mascara to the same list. My lashes are pretty long, but they're blonde, and I wear glasses, so I want them to stand out. Then, I worry about it running or it smudging under my eyes after a long day. I also like separation. I'm pretty picky! I tried a sample of the Lauren Brooke Lash Strengthening Mascara in Espresso. This is a new formula that strengthens, lengthens and protects lashes with a blend of vitamins, herbs and extracts like Organic Horsetail, Organic Nettle, Burdock, Aloe and a Vitamin B Complex. I found that this mascara separates well, and because I ordered it in Espresso, it was very natural looking, while it nicely darkened my lashes. I would say this is a wonderful everyday mascara.

So, you may already know that I'm not just a cosmetics addict, I'm also lip balm obsessed, and I've made my husband an addict as well. I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to lip balms, and when we moved, we found them in every room of the house. Still, I probably buy one every time I order from Sephora, I have a monthly subscription of lip balms, and probably fifty that are in regular use. I'm so weird. So, obviously, I requested a Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques' Vanilla Mint Lip Moisturizer. It goes on smoothly, it isn't clumpy at all, and it definitely works! It contains Beeswax, Coconut (my favorite ingredient out there right now), Pomegranate, Vitamin E Oil, and Stevia Leaf. It's definitely a lip balm that I reach for often.

I was sent two samples of ColourFusion Lip Glaze, one in Guava, and the other in Pomegranate. The Lip Glaze is infused with quadruple the color for a bold and beautiful lip shade. I really like both colors, and I've applied them both with my finger, and with a lip brush. If you use your finger, the Lip Glazes are more sheer, but you get more color using a brush. It's always nice to have options! I found the colors to be extremely flattering-the Pomegranate is a bit darker, but still perfect for any occasion. They also last a long time, so I wasn't worried about reapplying. These will also be on my purchase list!

Now...a Giveaway!!! Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques sent a finishing powder and a Golden Bronzer for me to give to one of my readers!!

The translucent Finishing Powder is formulated to help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce shine, and maintain a fresh, healthy look all day. It contains Arrowroot Powder and Natural Clay.

The Golden Bronzer is a universally flattering color that will add depth, subtle contouring and color to the face, to compliment facial features and give a more radiant glow.

Lemongrass Spa Review and Giveaway

Congratulations to Kimberly Abel! You won the pedi kit from Lemongrass Spa!

As someone who is product obsessed, I've been so lucky to try some really fun skin care from a variety of companies. I love to hear about their different philosophies, and how they got started.

I recently became acquainted with Rene'e Pontorno, who is a spa consultant for Lemongrass Spa. Lemongrass Spa is a "lime-green" company based out of Colorado. Their products are all gluten-free and cruelty-free, handmade and natural. Their fragrances are phthalate-free, colorants are from natural sources and their essential oils are organically grown from farms around the world. They use only the highest-grade ingredients, and they test on people, not animals. Even their packaging can be recycled or reused.

Lemongrass Spa is a great option for someone looking for a new product line, as they carry a wide variety of items from skin care, cosmetics, body care and hair care. Everything is also extremely affordable.

Rene'e was very generous, and she sent me some products to try, and for a giveaway! She is a new consultant for Lemongrass Spa, and is enjoying her new career!

I have dry, sensitive skin, so Rene'e sent me Lemongrass Spa's Travel Face Care Kit #2 for Dry/Sensitive Skin. The kit includes the Gentle Cleansing Gel, Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap, Hydrating Eye Cre'me with Cucumber Extract and Rose Hip Oil, Gentle Face Cre'me and Pomegranate Facial Polish.

I did find that I preferred the Gentle Cleansing Gel over the Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap. The soap, though, has been great to have in the shower. I find that it's gentle enough for my body and not over drying. The cleansing gel left my face feeling clean, but not tight. It contains coconut oil, avocado fruit oil, lavender and jasmine essential oils. I followed the cleanser with the Pomegranate Facial Polish, which was creamy and not overly harsh. The Gentle Face Cre'me feels great on my face. It's creamy and scent free. I actually have been keeping this in my bag, as I like to moisturize during the day. Finally, I used the Hydrating Eye Cre'me. The eye cream feels lovely. It's a blend of cucumber extract, rose hip oil, shea butter, jojoba and olive oil. The skin around my eyes tends to get quite dry year round because of allergies. This eye cream is rich, and it leaves my eye area feeling soft and refreshed. This is a great little travel kit that sells for just $12! If you want to try the skin care before committing to full size products, this is a terrific kit to start with!

Rene'e also sent me a mini Foot Fetish Kit, AND one to giveaway! This mini pedi set starts with a Herbal Foot Soak, which is Epsom salt enhanced with peppermint, spearmint, and tea tree oils. You soak with this mixture and warm water for about 15-20 minutes, and it feels AMAZING! Next, you use the Walnut Foot Scrub, which exfoliates with sea salt enhanced with citrus zest and ground walnut hulls. Finally, your feet are ready for the moisturizing Peppermint Foot Balm, which is packed with olive oil, peppermint and vitamin E. This kit is so pampering, and has been great to keep my summer feet looking and feeling great!

You can shop with Rene'e online at, or if you have questions, you can email her at

Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care Review

I recently had the opportunity to try a couple of products from Hard Night Good Morning Skin CareI had seen ads for the skin care line, but didn't know about their products or what set them apart from other skin care companies.

Since I am now fully able to admit my obsession with skin care and cosmetics, I can also admit that I look up new companies and research them for fun. I know it may sound a little odd to some, but that's just me. Except, when I looked up Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care, I found that their founder D'Andra Simmons is also a cosmetic junkie. Just reading about her made me want to meet her in person!

Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care was launched in 2008 by D'Andra Simmons as an all-natural, aloe vera based luxury skin care line. The line is gluten free, 100% vegan and helps fight the aging process of our skin. It is also chemical free with no parabans, sulfates, or phythalates. Being that I have sensitive skin, I worry about ingredients. Hearing this made me really interested in trying the line.

When Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care launched their Facial Cocktail Serum, they found it to be a huge success! This inspired D'Andra to develop the eight complete unisex product line, Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care.

The product line is made up of the following: The Facial Cocktail Serum, AM Cleanser, PM Oil Cleanser/Makeup Remover, Daytime Moisturizer, Nighttime Moisturizer, Detox Toner, Detox Mineral Masque, and Eye Cream.

Based on my skin type, I was suggested to try the the PM Oil Cleanser and the Nighttime Moisturizer.

The PM Cleanser is an oil cleanser that purifies the skin and removes makeup, including waterproof mascara. It contains over eighteen different oil extracts, in addition to aloe leaf extract.

What I found convenient was that this particular product can be used in more than 4 different ways! For example:
1) The oil cleanser can be massaged into the skin by itself to remove makeup.
2) You can also add a small amount of water to create a light-weight cleanser.
3) Add a few drops of the Oil Cleanser to the Daytime or Nighttime Moisturizer for additional moisturization.
4) As a tip, they even suggest using the PM Oil Cleanser on the ends of your hair to help with split ends!
5) My personal tip: I would recommend it as body oil (my personal preference).

The Nighttime Moisturizer is a cream for dry skin, including those that might have drier skin than normal during the winter months. It has been shown to smooth complexions and restores radiance and tone. This moisturizer also contains collagen builders to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, while it re-hydrates, replenishes and rejuvenates.

I've been using the PM Cleansing Oil and Nighttime Moisturizer with my normal skin care routine for the last few weeks. Neither product has irritated my sensitive skin, but I find them to be quite soothing. The products do not contain any artificial fragrances, which is important to me. I look forward to continued use of these Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care products, along with trying the rest of the line!

I would definitely recommend Hard Night Good Morning Skin Care to anyone. If you're interested in learning more about the company, or to purchase their products, you can find them at
